Pregnancy & Beyond

"It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end." - Ursula K. Le Guin

This program is designed to help you enjoy the journey.  Each program is individualized and adapted to your specific needs. It is geared to benefit you as you embrace becoming a mom.  Veterans and first timers will benefit from the options available in this program.

How Do I Know if This is for Me?

Pregnancy & Beyond is a collection of 12 week programs designed to:

  1. Prepare you for childbirth by strengthening your body, minimizing unhealthy weight gain, and keeping you relaxed and stress free.

  2. Recover from childbirth by restrengthening your core, keeping you accountable to self-care, and giving you the tools to love your body well.

  3. Find a new routine that enables you to love your body, care for your children, and find a balance that works for you, your goals, and your new family.

As you progress through your pregnancy or recovery, your 12 week program will change with you to meet the demands and restrictions placed on your body.

Expecting Baby #2 and Feeling Great!

During Anna's first pregnancy, she was put on restriction after seven weeks due to a core that was too strong and gained 50 pounds.  With the weight gain she experienced back, leg, and hip pain constantly.  In recovery, Anna worked hard to get herself back in shape and resolve her pain.  Now this time around in her pregnancy, she wanted to maintain a healthy pregnancy weight while being strong enough to chase around her very active toddler without compromising the health of her daughter.

After completing her first 12 week program, Pregnancy & Beyond, Anna has only gained 17 pounds (which is perfectly healthy and right on track), has experienced no back, leg, or hip pain, and can run around and carry her 30 lb toddler with ease.  She's currently working through her second 12 week program to finish out her pregnancy!

Postpartum Recovery and Self Care

"I didn't know how physically taxing being pregnant & having a baby would be. I gained 50 lbs while I was pregnant & weighed the most I’ve ever weighed in my entire life. By the end of my pregnancy I was feeling like a beached whale & I was physically swollen & uncomfortable.

I was induced & finally had my baby girl 12 days late. My 26 hour labor was hard, but so worth the end result. So far I’ve lost 37 lbs & I plan to continue exercising even after I lose the rest of the baby weight. Since I started Michelle’s postpartum program 8 weeks after I gave birth, I feel stronger, more toned & I have more energy. It’s been great & has helped motivate me to work out & make fitness more of a priority (even though life can be crazy busy with an infant). I can’t wait to keep working hard so I can continue to get stronger & healthier!"

“You made me feel like you understand the everyday life of a mom with a toddler and that things don't always go as planned. I like the flexibility and different session choices so that I can pick what is best for each day. And you checking in gives me a sense of accountability without feeling guilty or pressured if I had a crazy couple of days.

I wanted to stay active during this pregnancy to control my weight gain and feel good throughout. Also, I wanted it to help me with a VBAC (regular birth after c-section) this time around and it did just that. The program has encouraged me to stay active and helped keep my pregnancy aches and discomfort to a minimum, my monthly weight gain was less than my first pregnancy, being in the 1-2lb range a month, and now postpartum I am back to my pre-pregnancy weight from before my first pregnancy!” - Angela B.

“I didn’t know if the program would be motivating enough, but it was. Your continuous feedback motivated me to stay on track. Even though I went through a rough patch at some points, you encouraged me to continue. I feel great at 37 weeks. I am not fatigued like I used to be in the first trimester. People can’t tell I’m pregnant when they’re behind me and that’s a plus! I think that staying active will help once I go into labor (fingers crossed).” - Geyge T.
